The programme is designed to introduce young children to the skills involved in field hockey in a safe, non-competitive atmosphere with the emphasis on involvement and fun. The children progress through Level 1 and Level 2 gaining stickers/awards fo their certificates.

Minkey participants move up to the U/9 Modified Competition after several seasons according to age, size and skills attained.

Minkey is conducted on Saturday mornings during the winter season at the Wyong Hockey Complex between 9.30 and 10.45 with weekly awards for improvements and participation. All equipment is provided at a low weekly cost and all children are covered by insurance.

COST:
A one-off registration fee of $ 20 per player to cover compulsory insurance and registration to Hockey New South Wales plus $3 per player per weeks attended. You do not pay for any weeks missed.

TIME:
Please arrive at 9.30am to register and we will take the field from 9.45am to 10.40 am each week.

WHAT TO BRING:
Please wear comfortable clothing and secure footwear. No football boots allowed. We supply all hockey sticks, balls, shinpads and hats to be used for the morning. Sunscreen is also supplied. Please bring a water bottle.
